Passive exercises are also known as passive range of motion exercises; and your range of motion includes how far you can move your joints in different directions. These exercises are considered passive because you don’t exert any effort. Instead, someone helps you move your muscles and joints through their full range of motion for you and focuses more on pain relief.

Passive Therapies involve the use of non-invasive, specialized equipment to provide physical stimulation to assist in the healing process. Passive therapies do not involve the movement of your muscles or joints actively, but does involve moving the muscles and joints passively by the practitioner.  Examples of passive treatment include heat and cold, ultrasound, and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator (TENS) machines, cold laser, massage therapy, and chiropractic care.

Here at Pure Health, we want to set up a treatment regime for patients that simply involves a passive therapy treatment plan. There is no magic cure for pain – and it’s important that people understand this as a first step. We can help you restore and increase mobility, alleviate pain and reduce muscle spasms.
